Our vision
is to be a people growing into Christ’s likeness for the sake of our community and the world.
For more on how we live into this vision, please see our pages on Worship, Community, Discipleship & Formation, and Service & Outreach.
Our beliefs
are best summarized in Christian essentials, like those contained in the Apostles’ Creed, which we confess each time we celebrate Holy Communion (the first Sunday of the month & other special occasions).
I believe in God the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
Amen.
We hold these essentials to be an accurate representation of the teaching of Holy Scripture, God’s only inspired and authoritative rule of faith and practice, which is able to make all people “wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus” and is “profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness” that the people of God “may be complete, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3.15-17).
Additionally, we look to statements such as The Lausanne Covenant to help us understand and enact our commitments to both evangelism and social responsibility as evangelical Christians.
